He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Loyd Coats Sr. and Eleanor Elizabeth Lagoudis. He is survived by: his wife Linda Diane Coats of Nacogdoches; his children, Shannon Bryan Coats (Shanan) of Henderson, Malisa Lanae Bobbitt (Andy) of Mansfield and Adam Loyd Coats (Brittney) of Pollok; his grandchildren, Colin Coats (Meagan), Casey Coats (Mary), Jessica Coats, Madeline Brassell and William Bobbitt; his great grandchildren, Karter Coats, Jack Coats and Cooper Coats; and his sisters, June Arlene Cox (Ron) of Huntsville and Loretta Lynn Thornbrough (Mark) of Bryan. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Volunteer Christian Builders of First Baptist Church of Henderson, 207 W. Main, Henderson, Texas 75654.

“I just thought to look up Harold, found his website no longer active, and came here. I'm so sorry for your loss. I met Harold through the PGT-PG&E Pipeline Project in the early 1990s, and I have two of his paintings: a Yosemite Valley view (which just inspired me to check online), and a waterfowl standing on a wire (also a print of two quail I haven't framed). He was a gentle soul and a fine artist. Please know he is remembered widely (I live in WA now) with appreciation.”
