He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry Edison and Lucille Black Edison; his wife Barnie Mahan Edison; his siblings, J. H. Edison, Billie Earl Edison, Wilsie Dee Taylor and Betty Sue Fausett; and his great grandchild David Skaggs.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Edison of Nacogdoches and Sue Edison Skaggs of Nacogdoches; his grandchildren, Kirstie Skaggs and Jeremy Slade Skaggs; his great grandchild Jordan Skaggs; and his great great grandchild Aurora Skaggs. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
