He was predeceased by: his parents, Warner Scroggins and Ellen Scroggins; his son Toby Scroggins; his stepfather Robert Barnett; and his siblings, Donna Deason, Teresa Bryan, Warner Doyle Scroggins and Mike Barnett.

He is survived by: his daughters, Kellie Hooper of Mt. Pleasant and Kinsey Henson of Dallas; and his siblings, Nancy Hudgins (Bud), Vickie Wright, Blane Scroggins (Dorothy), Cheryl Russell (Ken) and David Barnett. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
