It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Davie Lynne Downs of Nacogdoches, Texas, who passed away on June 14, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonzo Herbert Blacksher and Marjorie Blacksher (Eddings); her grandmother Martha Eddings (Collins); her sister Janet Nolan (Blacksher); and her brother-in-law David Gresham.

She is survived by: her husband Beauford Downs of Nacogdoches; her children, Traci Barnes (Kendall) of Nacogdoches, Keith Downs (June) of Whitehouse, Carla Henson (Ronnie) of Nacogdoches and Rebecca West (George) of Nacogdoches; her grandchildren, Sarah Holmes (Cullen) of Nacogdoches, Marjorie Kristen Barnes of Nacogdoches, Jocelyn Grace Downs of Whitehouse, Caleb Matthew Henson of Nacogdoches and Janet Kaylynne West of Nacogdoches; her great grandchild Beau David Holmes of Nacogdoches; and her siblings, Martha Gresham (Blacksher) of Cushing, Lonnie Blacksher (Charlotte) of Nacogdoches and Anthony Blacksher (Sue) of Nacogdoches. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Diabetes Association, or Godtel Ministries.
