She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Joseph and Ruth Evelyn Etheridge (Hortin); her son Brian Martz; and her siblings, Evelyn Winters, Marjorie Mathis, Joyce Cole, Fred Etheridge and John Etheridge.

She is survived by: her husband Doyle Martz; her children, Ange Warren (Bill) and Scott Martz (Cindy); her grandchildren, Rainy Newland, Tennille Gentry, Cody Beard, Austin Martz and Jennifer Adams; her siblings, Shirley Rogers (Don) and Glenn Franklin (Anita); and her sister-in-law LouAnn Etheridge. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Dogwood Baptist Church of Athens.
