It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gene Knowles of Murchison, Texas, born in Dallas, Texas, who passed away on September 5, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Naomi Loosier Knowles and Harold Eugene Knowles; his daughter Nicole De Ann Pickens; and his sister Reba Baker. He is survived by: his wife Loretta Knowles of Murchison; and his sons, Danny Ray Johnson (Tracy) of Brownsboro, Brian Leslie Johnson (Diana) of Mineola and David Carl Knowles (Tonya) of Shady Oaks. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and 2 nieces.
