He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Melvin McCoy and Videau Marie McManus (Christianson); and his siblings, John Randall McCoy, Kathy Proctor and Betty Shirkey.
He is survived by: his children, Brittany Irby (Brandon) of Murchison, Samatha Freeman (Aaron) of Crossroads and Jacob McCoy (Rani) of Murchison; and his grandchildren, Katelynn McCoy, Mikal Eubanks, Landon Eubanks, Raelee Freeman, Zalin Freeman, Avrie McCoy, Hazel McCoy and Ryder McCoy. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home (842 NE Loop 7, Athens, TX 75752). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home Chapel (842 NE Loop 7, Athens, TX 75752). A burial will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at the Shelby Chapel Cemetery.
