He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Gonzales and Monica Gonzales (Bryant); and his sisters, Janie Martinez and Nora Avena. He is survived by: his wife Amelia Anguiano; his sons, Sammy Gonzales Jr. of Missouri, Jerry Don Gonzales of Muleshoe and Larry Gene Gonzales of Borger, Texas; his siblings, Dora Triana (Jose) of Muleshoe, Alice White (Rick) of Muleshoe, Texas and Andrew Gonzales (Elizabeth) of El Paso, Texas; his granddaughters, Kathryn and Lauren; and also Chula.
He was a member of the Optimist Club and the Jaycees civic groups, having made many contributions to the community.
