He is survived by: his wife Martha Rubio; his sons, Jose Luis De La O (Esmeralda) of Canyon, Refugio De La O Jr. of Canyon, Manuel De La O of Canyon, Ricky De La O (Misael Elias), Herman De La O (Azucena) of Seguin and Ruben De La O of Bowie, Texas; and his stepchildren, Martha Sarpiento Rubio, Angel Jaramillo of Albuquerque and Juan Sarpiento (Ibet) of Hereford, Texas. He is also survived by his 20 grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
