He was predeceased by: his parents, Marcos La and Rita De La (Hernandez); and his former wife Maria Silva Hernandez. He is survived by: his wife Martha Rubio; his sons, Jose Luis De La O (Esmeralda) of Canyon, Refugio De La O Jr. of Canyon, Manuel De La O of Canyon, Ricky De La O (Misael Elias), Herman De La O (Azucena) of Seguin and Ruben De La O of Bowie, Texas; and his stepchildren, Martha Sarpiento Rubio, Angel Jaramillo of Albuquerque and Juan Sarpiento (Ibet) of Hereford, Texas. He is also survived by his 20 grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ellis Funeral Home Chapel - Muleshoe (104 E Ave F, Muleshoe, TX 79347). A prayer will be held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the Ellis Funeral Home Chapel (104 E Ave F, Muleshoe, TX 79347). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Ellis Funeral Home Chapel - Muleshoe (104 E Ave F, Muleshoe, TX 79347). A burial will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Muleshoe Memorial Park (310 Main St #103, Muleshoe, TX 79347).
