It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Ann Young in Muleshoe, Texas, born in Somerset, Kentucky, who passed away on October 25, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Stewart Compton and Alpha Kissee Compton. She is survived by: her husband Cooper; and her sons, Joe Young (Vickie), Chad Young (Susan) and Kyle Young (Ashli). She is also survived by nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Owens and Brumley Funeral Home (1317 9th St, Wichita Falls, TX 76301). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Thornberry Baptist Church. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Charlie Cemetery.
