He was predeceased by: his parents, J. E. Embry and Lula Embry (Wright). He is survived by: his wife Billie Welch; his children, Carolyn Smyer (Allen) of Muleshoe, Texas and Lee Embry (Christie) of Sudan, Texas; and his sister Lula Maye Shanks (Gerald) of Lubbock, Texas..
