She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Ervin Welch and Beulah Mae Welch Lawhon (Griffin); her husband Chester Embry; her stepfather Ray; and her siblings, Joy Parson, Janice Cole and James Welch.
She is survived by: her children, Carolyn, Allen Smyer of Muleshoe, Lee and Christie Embry of Sudan, Texas.. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
