He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorenzo Montes Fernandez and Eustolia Hinojos; and his brothers, Enrique Francisco Montes and Hector Lorenzo Montes of Chihuahua. He is survived by: his wife Alicia Padilla; his children, Armando Antonio Montes Mares of Utah, Santos Armando Montes of Muleshoe, Texas and Karla Maria Montes Mares (Anna Laura Montes Mares) of Mexico, D. F.; and his siblings, Carmen Montes Hinojos of Chihuahua, Maria Yolanda Montes of Chihuahua, Josefina Montes of Jimenez, Jose Francisco Montes of Chihuahua and Jose Antonio Montes of Plainview, Texas. He is also survived by ten grandchildren.
