He was predeceased by: his parents, C. B. Hicks and Lucy Tunnell Hicks; and his brother John Hicks. He is survived by: his wife Ettie Mae; his children, Olen Hicks (Kathy) of Junction, Connie Bland (Kyle) of Silsbee and Rhonda Hicks of Kerrville; his brothers, Earl Hicks (Judy) of Lumberton and Bluffard Hicks (Linda) of Kerrville; his grandchildren, Kelli Houghton, Kris Hicks, Cody Hicks, Kerry Hicks and Kaitlyn Hicks; his great grandchildren, Mason Houghton, Keely Hicks, Farrah Hicks, Ryker Hicks and Kellan Hicks; and his nephew Ben McNeel. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
