He was predeceased by: his parents, Verda Mae Sears (Clark) and Amon Sears; his sisters, Lorene Brock and Louise Purefoy; and his great grandchild Lincoln Sears.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Sears of Mount Vernon, TX; his children, Cyndy (Rick Hobson), Walt Sears, Jr. (Kris), Stacy (LeeAnn Sears) and Brad (Krisan Sears); his grandchildren, Sarah, Nathan Vafaie, Emily, Rusty Welch, Shannon, Jon Sharp, Liesel Sears, Abby, Patrick Crank, Sara Sears, Sammi Sears, Hadley Sears and Evan Sears; his great grandchildren, Leila Vafaie, Kyle Welch, Tatum Sharp, Brody Sears, Aubrey Sears and Charlotte Sears; and his siblings-in-law, Lee, Peggy Bradley, Nancy and Bill Robinson.
