She was predeceased by: her parents, John L. Cates and Bernice Cates (Smith); her husband Donald Seay; her daughter Donna Powell; and her brother Billy Cates.
She is survived by: her children, John Seay (Carmen) of Texarkana, Texas and Amy Murphy (Ken) of Artesia; her son-in-law Wade Powell of Mt. Vernon, Texas; her grandchildren, Cameron Brown of Texarkana, Carlie Seay of Colorado Springs, Ryan Powell (Tiffani) of Mt. Pleasant, Blake Powell of Longview and Amanda Murphy of Artesia; and her great grandchildren, Jaxson, Brynli and Maci Powell.
