We are sad to announce that on December 13, 2019, at the age of 84, Lester Franklin Starkey (Mount Vernon, Texas), born in Cooper, Texas passed away. He was predeceased by: his parents, Asa Lester Starkey and Minnie Jewel Cathey; his sons, Mike Starkey and Timmy Sumrow; and his sisters, Mattie Lou Burgess and Jeanette Tramel.

He is survived by: his wife Cecilia Ann Starkey of Mt. Vernon; and his children, Tommy Sumrow of Greenville and Pam Gooch of Kilgore. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
