He was predeceased by: his parents, John H. Reeves and Betty Needham Reeves; and his grandparents, Truman, Minnie Reeves, Brantley and Anna Needham.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Banks Reeves; his daughters, Jacquelyn (Chase Phillips), Kaitlyn (Daniel White) and Madison (Alex Clingan); his grandchildren, John Wayne, Jayson Thomas, James Hartwell, Josie Belle Phillips, Ethan Daniel and Cole Harrison White; his sister Cheryl (Scott Bellamy); and his brother-in-law Rick (Linda Banks).
In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated by the Mount Vernon Rotary Educational Scholarship Trust.
