With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Byron Gilbert of Mount Vernon, Texas, born in Wichita Falls, Texas, who passed away on November 1, 2020 at the age of 68. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Lynn and Maxine LaRue Humphrey Gilbert; his sisters, Brenda Gilbert and Debra Walling; and his nephew Otto Charles Walling IV.

He is survived by: his sister Diana Cox (Neal) of Mount Vernon; and his nieces, Amy Briscoe (Jeff) of Mount Vernon Texas and Charlotte Walling of Mount Vernon. He is also survived by the oldest of four children, the only son.
