He was predeceased by: his wife Bessie Parrish; his mother Mamie Jewel Copeland; and his sister Mamie Jean Rich. He is survived by: his son Tony Ray Smith of Mount Pleasant; his grandson Jeremy Ray Smith (Andrea); and his great grandchild Ronan of Alaska. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
