It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Veleta R. McFerrin of Mount Pleasant, Texas, who passed away on July 8, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Veleta R. McFerrin to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rufus McFerrin and Sibyle McFerrin (Rush); and her brother Alfred M. McFerrin. She is survived by: her sisters, Doris Nesbitt of Mount Pleasant, TX and Betty Miller of Daingerfield, TX; and her aunt Louise Young of Houston, Texas. She is also survived by 3 nieces and 3 nephews; numerous great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations in Veleta's memory be made to the North Jefferson Church of Christ Youth Fund.
