He is survived by: his wife Luciana Rivera Jimenez; his children, Angel Rivera, Juan Rivera (Juana), Caludia Rivera, Alexander Rivera and Magdalena Cardenas (Salvador); his grandchildren, Angel Rivera Jr., Luz Angelica Rivera, Dulce Maria Rivera, Juan Jose Rodriguez, Deny Rivera, Alan Rivera, Zayden Cardenas and Noah Cardenas; and his sisters, Asencion Jimenez Rivera (Alejandro Jimenez) and Concepcion Flores (Demetrio Flores).
