With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thelma Boyd of Mount Pleasant, Texas, born in Naples, Texas, who passed away on March 24, 2023 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Horace Buck Hicks and Thelma Helen Hampton Hicks; her husband Bennie Joe "B. J." Boyd; her sisters, Betty Stewart and Shirley Harvey; her sons-in-law, Robert Richardson, Rickey Moore and Jimmy Belcher; and her grandchildren, Brittany Belcher, Aaron Belcher and Misty Belcher.
She is survived by: her children, Pam Richardson of Avinger, Tammy (Tommy Mays), Lori Belcher (Ron Ethridge), Lance Dwayne Boyd (Cate Turner) and Joey (Robin Boyd); and her siblings-in-law, Ray, Melba Boyd of Mt. Pleasant, Gordon and Nancy Boyd of Avinger. She is also survived by twenty-three grandchildren; forty-two great-grandchildren; twenty-seven great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
