He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Elizabeth Giddens and Robbie Luel Giddens. He is survived by: his wife Gladys Marie Walker of Mount Pleasant, Texas; his son Robert "Kirk" Giddens (Christy Giddens) of McKinney, Texas.; his siblings, Doyce Lanelle Boyet of Azle, Texas, Gloria Faye Fowler of Ringgold, Louisiana, Jerry Lance Giddens of New Orleans, Louisiana and Garry Vance Giddens of Natchitoches, Louisiana; and his granddaughters, Alyssa Nicole Giddens of Dallas and McCall Kalyn Nelson of Daingerfield, Texas. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a contribution be made, in the name of Robert Joe Giddens, to the First Baptist Church of Mount Pleasant.
