He is survived by: his children, Stephen Truitt (Laura Currey), Traylor Palmore (Brandie Currey) and Renee Theda Smith of Texarkana; his siblings, Floyd Allan Currey of Daingerfield, Wynell Steely of Jenkins and Carolyn Hicks of Dallas; his grandchildren, Cameron Humphrey Currey, Chandler Ellison Currey, Caroline Hope Currey, Adam Kyle Currey, Jack Sims Currey, Ashton Drake Currey, Justin Wayne Smith and Taylor Nicole Smith; and his great grandchild Eva Smith.
