He is survived by: his wife Leonarda Fernandez; and his children, Maria De Jesus Vargas (Arturo), Maria Isabel Guerra (Raul), Rosa Maria Fernandez, Pedro Fernandez, Martha Sylvia Fernandez (Angel), Jose Andres Fernandez (Francis), Juan Carlos Fernandez (Angeles), Jorge Alberto Fernandez, Lilia Ester Hernandez (Hector), Victor Manuel Fernandez (Judith), Flor Fernandez and Fabian Alejandro Fernandez (Lupe). He is also survived by 44 grandchildren.
