He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Oscar Ortega and Anna Ortega (Sekula); his wife Sharon of Omaha, Texas; his children, Cynthia Cassel (Derek) of Hallsville, Texas, Erik Ortega of Nyack and Cody Ortega (Savannah) of Omaha, Texas.; his sister Olinda Green of Plant City, Florida; and his siblings-in-law, Linda Stevenson, Jeannie McNeil (David) and Johnny Edwards (Becky) of Mount Pleasant, Texas. He was also cherished by six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
