She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Edward and Bertha Jewel Howk Easterling; her husband Jack Walton Gentry; and her siblings, Milton, Gene Easterling, Laura Smith and Nell Bramlett.
She is survived by: her children, Danon Gentry Sims, Deniece Fulcher (David), Deena Eudy (Ricky) and Bobby Bishop (Betty); her grandchildren, Amy DeAnn Sims, Walton W. Sims (Amy Michelle), Danon Ashley Gentry (Brittany) and Dakota Gentry Harris; and her great grandchildren, Tristan Richardson, Tessa Richardson and Cooper Sims. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
