She was predeceased by: her parents, Dess Rich and Belle Rich (Vian); her husband James Thomas "JT" Rust; her grandson Chad Brooks; her siblings, Samuel Rich, Donald Rich and Frances Youman; and her children-in-law, James "Smokey" Mitchell and Sandra Rust.
She is survived by: her children, Doyle Rust of Pittsburg, Texas, Carlis Mitchell of Mount Pleasant, Texas, Steve Rust (Suzan) and Gay Brooks of Dallas, Texas.; her siblings, Pat Roach of Mount Pleasant, Texas and Jim Rich of Crowell, Texas; and her grandchildren, Doyle Rust II, Jan Oldham, Tonya Baker, Carol Mitchell, Gina Jones, Stefany Molina, Jaime Marchan and Sean Rust. She is also survived by twenty-nine great-grandchildren, and twenty-two great-great-grandchildren.
