She was predeceased by: her parents, Marshall Redfearn and Jennie Lee Redfearn (Rushing); her husband Jimmy McElyea; and her siblings, Mike Redfearn, Neil Redfearn, Marian Wilson, Linda Reed and Becky Pounders.
She is survived by: her sisters, Betty Newman and Carolyn Winn of Mt. Pleasant. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
