He was predeceased by: his parents, George Lee Bowers and Norma Bowers; and his son Randy Joe Bowers. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Ann Bowers; his son Powell (Barbara Bowers); his daughter-in-law Jana Bowers; and his grandchildren, Jennifer, Joseph Bowers, Michael and Madison Bowers.
Because of COVID-19, a memorial service will be held at Tennison Memorial United Methodist Church at a later date.
