She was predeceased by: her parents, Jerry Brown and Sylvester Brown (Savage); her husband Leo Strong; her daughter Marilyn Brown; her grandchildren, Darius Brown, Amber Brown and Shemelia Brown; and her siblings, Jessie Brown, Jearline Ellis, Odessa Harris, Betty Brown, Pauline Craddock and Donnie Lewis.
She is survived by: her children, Leo Strong Jr. of Mt. Pleasant, Timothy Brown of Mt. Pleasant, Delores Brown (Loran) of Clarksville, Teresa Johnson (Joe) of Rio Rancho, NM, Charlotte Brown (Michael) of Mt. Pleasant, Texas and Felicia Brown of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; and her siblings, Alma Clemons of Mt. Pleasant, Laverta Brown of Mt. Pleasant and Bertha Brown of Mt. Pleasant. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Tumey Mortuary (611 N Gibson Ave, Mt Pleasant, TX 75455). A celebration of life was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the White Oak Missionary Baptist Church (74 Co Rd 1550, Mt Pleasant, TX 75455). A burial was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at the Piney Cemetery (268 County Rd 1680, Mt Pleasant, TX 75455, USA).
