May (Corky); her grandparents, William Franklin Smith and Fannie Onezia Fogleman; her brothers, Vernon William, Jr., Lincoln Oscar, Rudolph Lloyd and Charles Hubert; her grandson Ronnie Marcus McRae Jr.; her great grandchild Lydia Rose McRae; her brother-in-law Carlton LeRoy Nelson; her nephew Richard Allen Taylor Jr.; her parents-in-law, Gilbert Francis McRae and Trudy Lorene Albright; her children, Marcie A. McRae, Gary McRae (Teresa) and Ronnie McRae (Cheryl); her siblings-in-law, Peggy McRae Nelson and Benny McRae (Patty); her granddaughter Katherine Simons (James); her great grandchild Charlotte Lorene Simons; her nieces and nephews, Wanda Wible, Robert Taylor (Deborah), Michael Nelson (Cathy), Diana Cates (Jim), Mike Smith (Deanna), Robert Smith, Mark Smith, Chris Smith (Leslie), Kathy LaCost (Cary) and Corina Smith; her granddaughter Katherine Rebecca Simons (Katie); and also, John Alfred Maltman Moir and Annie Beasant Mintern. She was also cherished by 10 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren.

It is with great sadness that the family of Helen Joyce Smith McRae announces her passing on February 1, 2022 in Tyler, Smith County, Texas, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's and other complications.
