He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Frank Smith and Sarah White Smith; his wife Betty Carolyn Smith; his daughters, Kay Hitch, Karen Kelley (Chris), Dianne Newman and Tiffinay Cullen (Jeromy); and his sisters, Margaret Laing and Ann Wyant. He was also cherished by 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
