With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Evalyn Martin of Mount Pleasant, Texas, born in Emerson, Arkansas, who passed away on August 5, 2022 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Arrie Jackson; her husband Lowell Powell; her daughter Jean Powell O'Banion; her granddaughter Leslie O'Banion; her siblings, Gaylon Taylor, Larry Taylor, Helen Owens and Margie Spivey; her husband Curtis Martin; and her stepson Curtis Martin, Jr. (Evalyn).
She is survived by: her children, Lowell Powell, Jr. (Clarrissa) of Taylor, Arkansas, Danny Powell (Teresa) of Shongaloo, Louisiana, Mark Powell (Karen) of Jackson, Louisiana and Cathy Jones (Bruce) of Mount Pleasant, Texas; her siblings, Alton Taylor and Barbara Mattison; and her stepdaughters, Brenda Smith and Arlene Sellers. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren.
