He was predeceased by: his parents, Thadius Nathan Newman and Jeanette Newman (Slone); and his brothers, Larry, Dwayne and Gene Newman.
He is survived by: his wife Marzelle Newman (Smith) of Mt. Pleasant, TX; his sons, Chris (Kimberly Newman) of Little Elm, TX and Greg (Monica Newman) of Greenville, TX; his grandchildren, Kathryn Goff, Rebekah Newman, Noah Newman, Jake Newman and Sarah Newman; his great grandchildren, Eloise Goff and Hannah Goff; and his sisters, Peggy Wells and Nelda Newman. He is also survived by eight nieces and nephews.
