He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Haynes, and Theresa Fontenot Haynes, Sr.; and his brother Sidney Dwayne Haynes. He is survived by: his daughter Niki Huffman (Aaron); his granddaughter Ellie Kay Huffman; his siblings, Charles Haynes, Jr. (Sharon) and Linda Diffey (Tony); his nephew Cody Haynes; and his niece Brandi Hammond.

The family of Donald Haynes has requested that donations be made to Cypress Basin Hospice.
