He was predeceased by: his daughter Sandra Kay Whittington; and his siblings, Roy R. Whittington and Margaret Ann Powers. He is survived by: his wife Linda Jean Whittington; his son David Whittington, III; his wife Amy; his daughter Linda Jeanette Mottu (Michael); his grandchildren, Zakk, Zeth Whittigton, Rachael Russell, Connie Pilarski, Tristan Mottu, Zack and Justin Mottu; and his great grandchildren, Ty Schuler, Drake Boles, Acelan Pilarski and Julianne Mottu.
