He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifton Crooks and Mattie Lou Calvert Crooks; his brother Charles; his sister-in-law Ester Crooks; his siblings, Mary Ann Severson and Larry Crooks; his niece Gina Crooks; and his nephew Matthew Crooks.
He is survived by: his wife Darline Crooks; his son Daniel; his daughter-in-law Kristy Crooks; his daughter Darla; his son-in-law Jimmy Don Humphrey; his daughter Debra Crooks; his grandchildren, Joshua (Landrie Ellis), Roxi Ellis (Michael Boully), Lincoln Ellis, Corbin Crooks, Caden Crooks, Carson Crooks, Dylan Humphrey and Darcy Humphrey; his great grandchildren, Layten James, Mayson Boully and Joe Ellis; his brother David; his sister-in-law Karen Crooks; his sister Anita; and his brother-in-law Jerry McRae. He is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bates Cooper Sloan Funeral Home (2805 S Jefferson Ave, Mt Pleasant, TX 75455). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Trinity Baptist Church (2830 W Ferguson Rd, Mt Pleasant, TX 75455).
