It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cora Newman of Mount Pleasant, Texas, born in De Kalb, Texas, who passed away on December 11, 2020, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Batchelor and Sarah Miller Batchelor; and her husband Bill Newman. She is survived by: her children, Monty Lee Newman (Judy) of Tyler, TX, Billie Ann Crump (Danny) of Mt. Pleasant, TX, Susan Hipp (H. C.) of Mt. Pleasant, TX and Michael Newman (Teresa) of Midland, TX; and her sister Ava Nell Sandlin of Wake Village, TX. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
