He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Turpen and Eva Robison Turpen; his wife Johan Yevonne Turpin; his sister Sylvia; his brother-in-law Troy Capps; his brothers, Sonny and Robert Turpen; and his brothers-in-law, Carlus Moore, Jack Roachell and Aaron Hambrick.

He is survived by: his daughters, Tamria (Tim Hill), Pamula McKee of Mt. Pleasant, TX, Karon and Billie Catherine "Cathye" (Kennie Cogdill); his grandchildren, Amber, Zach Dicken, Kinsee, Jeff Thomas, Callie, J. C. Thompson, Jason Hill, Shelby, Trey Robinson, Catherine Cogdill, Allie and Josh McWilliams; his great grandchildren, Avy, Brody, Josie, Ree Thomas, Karsyn Ray Hill, Piper Lynn Dicken, Robert Wayne and JoLynn Cate Thompson; his siblings, Willie Faye Roachell of Fort Smith, AR, Ethel Moore of Pasadena, TX, Jimmy, Sue Turpin of Pasadena, TX, Kathy Moore of Bald Knob, AR, Linda Humphries of Phoenix, AZ, Libby and Melvin Moore of Bald Knob, AR; and his sister-in-law Mada Hambrick of Conroe, TX.
