She was predeceased by: her parents, John Bassett and Belle Merritt Smelser; her husband Vernon Garrett; and her sisters, Frances Chestnutt and Katherine White.
She is survived by: her son Stan (Suzan Garrett) of Mt. Pleasant; her sister Clarene Chambers (Jim) of Horseshoe Bay, Texas; her grandchildren, Jacob Garrett (Rebecca) of Northport, NY and Katie Davis (John) of Ft. Worth, Texas; her great grandchild Poppy Kate Davis of Ft. Worth, Texas.; and her nieces, Brenda Bowman of Mt. Pleasant, Donna Levy of Paradise Valley, AZ and Connie Stephens of Dallas, Texas..
Due to COVID-19 precautions, there will be no visitation scheduled with the family.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers or cards, memorials can be made to the North Jefferson Church of Christ in honor and memory of Annie Ruth Garrett.
