It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Lera Stein of Mount Enterprise, Texas, who passed away on November 27, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Freeman Johnson and Luecendie Hall Johnson; her husband Titus Stein; and her siblings, Willie Bell Johnson Royal, Miles Johnson, John Willie Johnson, Elmer Gene Johnson, Sonny Johnson and Martha Nell Johnson Nichols.
She is survived by: her daughters, Belinda Carol, Carla Stein Johnson and Tanya Stein Hammett; her grandchildren, Sierra LeRae Johnson, Alexys Cheyenne Hammett and Christian Alexander Hammett; and her great grandchild Hastin Luke Johnson. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
"God makes no mistakes", "You learn something new every day", and "You have to do 110 where others do 100" were her constant reminders of the importance of God's word and education—both serving as the foundation of the legacy for their family.
