With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Hazel Virginia Self of Mount Enterprise, Texas, born in El Dorado, Arkansas, who passed away on July 11, 2022 at the age of 100. She was predeceased by: her father Joseph Savell; her husband Herman Percy "H. P." Self; and her son Dalton Ray Self. She is survived by: her children, Joy A. Goodson of Nacogdoches and Roy E. Self of Splendora; and her grandchildren, Charles H. Goodson, Ryan Self, Gina Fowler, Renee Self, Rob Roy Self and Dwayne Barker. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
