He was predeceased by: his parents, Erby McCollough and Eunice McCollough; and his brothers, Kirby McCollough, Oscar McCollough and A. G. McCollough.
He is survived by: his wife Cynthia McCollough; his children, Eddie McCollough (Jill), Bridgett Theiman (Mark), Christie Kirkland (Doug), Barry Pointer (Lynn) and Jeff Pointer; and his brother Byron McCollough (Sharon). He is also survived by ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Heritage Baptist Church (205 Private Rd 3902d, Mt Enterprise, TX 75681). A burial was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at the Woodlawn Heights Cemetery.
