He was predeceased by: his father Maness McDaniel; and his sister Ruthie Smikal. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Buell McDaniel of Moss Hill, Texas; his children, Bradley McDaniel (Sandra) of MossHill, Brian McDaniel (Keri) of League City, Texas, Karron Willis of Baytown and Theresa Smith of Baytown, Texas; his siblings, Donald McDaniel (Lois) of Willis, Maness McDaniel Jr. (Charlotte) of Baytown, Texas and Jean Moser of Baytown, Texas; his grandchildren, Logan (Nicki McDaniel), Caleb (Chelsea McDaniel), Brianna McDaniel, Shelby McDaniel, Brooke McDaniel, Hope (Kyle Tanner), Shawn Parker, Shane Parker, Tiffany (Chris Wiltse) and Derrick Hemphill; and his great grandchildren, Adi, Brayleigh, Haven, Elijah, Lily, Ari, Kylee Jaxson, Mila, Avery, Evan and Collin.
