He was predeceased by: his parents, Falvin Harvey and Lessie Mae Harvey (Miller); his wife Virginia Acosta Franco; his son Marvin James Harvey; his granddaughter Mercy Romero Harvey; his siblings, Gloria Jean Harvey Love, JoAnn Harvey Hill and Donnie Ray Harvey; and the mother of his children Victoria Morales Harvey.
He is survived by: his children, Maurice Harvey (Susie) of Anton, TX, Peter Harvey (MiMi), Mikie Harvey of Morton, TX and Amanda Salazar of Bryan, TX; his grandchildren, Stormi Riedel, Ebony Harvey, Autumn Prothero, Peter James Harvey Jr., Chanci Haston, Kodi-Rayn Harvey, Jakobe Harvey, Matthew Harvey and Paisley Victoria Harvey; and his siblings, Barbara Ann Roberson of Lubbock, TX, Brenda Oldham of Bryan, TX, Carolyn Harvey of Kansas City, MO, Katherine Daughtry of Ft. Worth, TX, Andrew Jay Harvey of Las Vegas, NV, Jimmy Wayne Harvey of Arlington, TX and Kenneth Earl Harvey of San Antonio, TX. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ellis Funeral Home - Morton (218 E Washington Ave, Morton, TX 79346). A rosary was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Oasis Worship Center (211 W Garfield Ave, Morton, TX 79346). A burial was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Morton Memorial Cemetery.
