With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Loyce York of Morton, Texas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Loyce left this world on December 9, 2024 at the age of 91, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Loyce may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cleburne Owen and Dorothy Owen (Kelley); her husband Earl A. York; and her brother Charles Owen. She is survived by: her children, Edward "Ed" York (Sheila) of Amarillo, Roy York (Barbara) of Amarillo, Texas and Debra Weaver (Norman) of San Jacinto, California; her sister Patsy Fowler (Troy) of Hereford, Texas; and her sisters-in-law, Jesse Owen and Dorene Rector. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the First Missionary Baptist Church (202 SE 1st St, Morton, TX 79346). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 12:00 PM and at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Morton Memorial Cemetery.
