He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Lee and Helen Schovajsa (Brantley); and his sisters, Elizabeth Cummings and Edwina Patterson. He is survived by: his wife Donna Sims; his children, Charles Schovajsa (Chanda) of Sudan, Russ Liner (Emily) of Lubbock, Texas, Cari Schovajsa of Lubbock, Caci McClure (Scott) of Plano and Mikella Newsom (John) of Lubbock, Texas; and his siblings, Joanne Hayworth of Lubbock, Texas and Larry Schovajsa (Sharon) of Lubbock, Texas. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
