He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edwin Ezra Sampson and Amanda Octavia Evans; his siblings, Eddie, Buddy, Dan, Violet and Dorothy; his wife Virginia Dell Sampson of Morgan; his siblings, Joe Sampson, Jean Fewell and Elsie Calhoun; and his children, Angela (Bud Barnett), Tanya Nutt of Rosebud, TX., Johnny (Toi Sampson), Terry Taylor of Stanton, TX., Dan (Carol Sampson) and Amanda (Lowell Scott). He was also cherished by 30 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; along with numerous family members.
